I am a third generation professional musician and vocalist, song writer and teacher. I’ve performed in Martha’s Vinyard, Spokane, Portland and Bend. For most of my adult life I’ve worked to bring music into children’s lives through cultural arts camps, community-based classes, public and private schools and have worked with all age groups. After receiving a BA in social sciences, I also received an AA in Commercial Music and Jazz Studies and a Masters in Teaching from Gonzaga University. After teaching a variety of music subject areas and instruments, I have’come home’ to the Suzuki method for guitar.
I am dedicated to the development of musical ability in my students and wholeheartedly endorse the Suzuki method and philosophy in helping each of my students become successful. As a credentialed Suzuki teacher, I am proud to be a part of growing arts education in the Central Oregon area, and to promote the guitar as an instrument of depth and beauty that is affordable, accessible and above all joyous for all who endeavor to play.
I am wife to Jason Jackson, a wonderful musician and my best friend. We have three beautiful daughters and whom we have home schooled for almost ten years in beautiful Bend Oregon.
